ACCUMULATE. 2018. Three-color silkscreen cotton fabric yardage. 45"x 90”.

Created from three screens burned as photograms (from actual fabric collage rather than digital transparencies), this fabric yardage nods to the particular labor of quilting traditions as a means of painstaking salvaging, repurposing, and piecing-together. Created from photo process and layered ink, rather than from seams and stitches, material immediacy was still an important part of the production of the work. The final product is defined by its flatness and transparency, as a reflection on the ways in which evolving technologies shape personal relics.
